During the slow month of January we had a lovely visit and stay by The Seattle Times Travel writer, Brian Cantwell and his sweet wife. Brian followed the innkeepers around the inn, farm store and lavender farm, furiously scribbling notes in his notepad the whole time. Their nice visit was followed up with a charming photo shoot by their in-house photographer, Greg Gilbert. Greg didn’t stay over but took more that 600 photos during the shoot. He has a wealth of experience in NW photography and has been taking photographs for the paper for almost 50 years. Both men represented The Seattle Times very well and were consummate professionals in their individual arts. Here’s a link to The Seattle Times article entitled, Port Angeles B&B is startling replica of George Washington’s home.
• George Washington’s Birthday Tea at George Washington Inn on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 with biscuits and scones, finger sandwiches and desserts; $33.95 per person. George Washington (impersonator Vern Frykholm) is a featured guest. Multiple seatings available; reservations required by Feb. 12: conta.cc/1Te1Rxj or 360-452-5207.
We look forward to an exciting new year and can’t wait to see the new flowers and lavender plants back in bloom! Our grass stays green so it’s always beautiful here where the snowcapped mountains roll down to the sea.
